Our tags include a variety of sensors and differ in sensor setup, design, battery source and power as well as robustness and attachment method.

Bird Solar Tags
Lightweight GPS tags with solar panels for regular recharging
Suitable for:
– species with weights above 350g
– species with regular exposure to sunlight
*The Bird Solar 15g can also be used for nocturnal species (e.g. bats) as it outclasses comparable tags
Bird Battery tags
Lightweight and robust GPS tags with a battery
Suitable for:
– birds and bats with weights above 350g with insufficient exposure to sunlight or which are prone to damage the tag
– projects with at least temporal access to the tags for data-download
GPS collars
Lightweight and robust GPS collars with a battery
Suitable for:
– species with weights above 2000g
– projects with at least temporal access to the collars for data-download
